What CAB is

Since 2021

Every Saturday on Zoom, with people from all over the world.

CAB stands for Community Across Borders. There is no audience: everyone who joins speaks. A member volunteers to host, the founders approve them, and the host decides which of the two formats the meeting will take.

Impromptu Topics

A topic is handed to a speaker, who talks about it for one to two minutes. An evaluator, picked from the room on the spot, responds in around thirty seconds. Then the next topic.

  1. 01 A topic is given, not prepared
  2. 02 The speaker has one to two minutes
  3. 03 An evaluator answers in about thirty seconds
  4. 04 Repeat until we are done

Group Discussion

One question opens the meeting. People take turns, answer each other rather than the host, and raise a hand when they want to come back in.

  • One question for the whole meeting
  • Everyone speaks in turn
  • Replies go to each other, not to the chair
  • Raise a hand to come back in

Where members join from

Hosting

Members offer to host a meeting and submit the topic; the founders review it before it is scheduled. Join CAB to put your name down.
