Pronounced: tween (like "between" without the be-)

Meaning: A kid between childhood and teenage years. Usually 8 to 12 years old. Not a little kid anymore, not a teen yet.

It comes from be-TWEEN.

My little sister is a tween now — she doesn't play with dolls but she's obsessed with skincare and Taylor Swift.
